4. Legal basis and purpose of personal data processing

According to the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, the legal basis for the processing of personal data is a customer or service relationship or other comparable relationship with the operation of Functos, an assignment given to Functos by a person or entity, or the implementation of rights and obligations arising from agreements between Functos and the data subject and legislation.


In certain cases, the person's consent may also be a requirement. The basis for the processing of personal data can also be Functos' legitimate interest based on a substantive connection, which can be applied under certain conditions in the case of a processing operation that cannot be done on the basis of a contractual relationship.

• Communication and customer relationship management with the person and customers

• Other processing of personal data necessary for the operation of Functos

6. Regular sources of information

The information to be saved in the register is obtained from the customer, e.g. From messages sent via web forms, by e-mail, by phone, via social media services, contracts, customer meetings and other situations where the customer gives out their information.


7. Transfers and transfers of information

Personal data can be handed over to Functos collaborators to implement marketing provided that the user has given consent to this.

Personal data can be transferred to Functos' marketing and newsletter register as well as to separate registers used in Functos' service production. Personal data can be transferred or disclosed to fulfill an order made by the data subject, or with the consent of the data subject also to temporary registers, such as event, contact, participant, or research registers. The information in these registers is processed only for the purposes of use of each register, in a separately informed manner.

Information is disclosed to the authorities in cases required by law, such as e.g. to investigate and prevent abuses.

As a general rule, Functos does not transfer or disclose personal data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. However, if necessary, data can be transferred or transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area in ways permitted by the Personal Data Act, if the data subject has given his consent.

8. Principles of registry protection

Care is taken when processing the register and the information processed with the help of information systems is properly protected. When registry data is stored on internet servers, the physical and digital data security of their hardware is taken care of accordingly. The registrar ensures that stored data as well as server access rights and other data critical to the security of personal data are handled confidentially and only by those employees whose job description it is.

9. Right of inspection and right to demand correction of information

The registrant has the right to check his/her information stored in the register and to demand the correction of any incorrect information or the completion of incomplete information. If a person wants to check the information stored about him or demand corrections, the request must be sent in writing to the controller and prove the identity in a reliable way.


10. Other rights related to the processing of personal data

A person in the register has the right to request the removal of personal data about him from the register ("the right to be forgotten"). Those registered also have other Rights according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation such as limiting the processing of personal data in certain situations. Requests must be sent in writing to the controller. If necessary, the registrar may ask the requester to prove his identity. The controller responds to the customer within the time stipulated in the EU data protection regulation (generally within a month).
